Where Did Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb Go?

Regular readers will recall my post in March about the departure of FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb. He returned to his previous company, venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates Inc, as a Special Partner on their healthcare investment team. He’s also now a Resident Fellow of think tank American Enterprise Institute, a non-partisan organization known for its association with conservativism/neoconservatism. His newsfeed with AEI (available at the link above) is an interesting commentary on pharmaceutical policy and the FDA. In June Dr. Gottlieb was nominated to the Board of Directors for Pfizer (see this BusinessWire article for details). Hopefully his FDA experience will help him foster pragmatic consensus approaches to the multiple issues facing patients, providers and sponsors.
