My first article this month reviewed some facts about female founders.
I’m not the only one commenting on the challenges they face. xdeck, a European platform to help founders with revolutionary ideas, thought this subject needed more scrutiny.
They interviewed 15 of their female founders to find out what they needed.
What were the three important key learnings from this conversation?
1. “We need a stronger network between founders and peer-learning options.”
2. “We need female role models who inspire us.”
3. “We need topic-specific events with a good share of women and men.”
This feedback isn’t far off from the conclusions in my article. xdeck intends to lean in on these challenges by supporting the current crop of successful female founders.
They also seek ways to influence younger cohorts to engage in the startup ecosystem.
